Mandate

The commission has a statutory duty to promote and protect human rights on St Helena as stated in the Commission for equality and human rights ordinance 2015. EHRC’s mission is to work with and influence law and policy makers, organisations, groups and individuals to protect and promote human rights in St Helena, allowing everyone an equal opportunity to reach their full potential.
